- At STC Collectibles, we’ve been collecting sports trading cards for over 50 years. Like many collectors, I still cringe when I think about the Ted Williams, Willie Mays, and Mickey Mantle cards I clipped to my bicycle spokes as a kid. If only I knew then what I know now! Just imagine the fortune lost.
- But for us, collecting has never been just about money. We love trading cards because they capture history, nostalgia, and incredible artwork. Most of all, we love the thrill of the game—the walk-off home run, the Hail Mary pass, the hole-in-one.
- As Brad Pitt said in Moneyball, "How can anyone not be romantic about baseball?" That line hit home for me. I may have had to hang up my cleats at 60, but my love for the game has never faded.
